Pediatric Emergency Conditions

Our separate Children's Emergency Department offers board-certified pediatric specialists and emergency doctors to treat minor to serious illnesses in your child. Some of the conditions we treat include:

  • Broken bones
  • Coughing up blood
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Fractures
  • Infections
  • Injuries or burns
  • Newborn with fever above 100.4 degrees
  • Poison ingestion
  • Seizures
  • Severe abdominal pain
  • Severe headache
  • Sickle cell crisis
  • Sudden weakness or paralysis
  • Unconsciousness
  • Wounds or lacerations

Go to the ER or Call 911 if:

  • There is a life-threatening condition
  • A situation becomes life-threatening or worsens
  • Your child is severely injured or burned
  • It's unsafe to move your child
