Spiritual Care
Peveto Center for Spiritual Care
The Peveto Center for Spiritual Care is located at University Hospital near the Main Lobby and is accessible 24/7.
The Center provides two quiet and sacred spaces that may be utilized for contemplation, prayer, meditation, confession and worship. The Center is also the home of the Spiritual Care Department.
The Peveto Spiritual Care Offices are staffed from 8:30am to 5pm. Professional chaplains are available 24/7 to assist hospital patients, their family members and hospital staff. A chaplain may be reached by calling 210-743-3300.
Hospital patients, their family members and hospital staff may have spiritual care requests that require ministry of individuals from a specific faith tradition. If such a need arises that cannot be met by our chaplain staff, we will verify the patient’s request and contact outside clergy and/or faith practitioners to address such needs.
