Service has always been at the center of Robby Brown’s life. As South Texas President of DOCUmation and chair of University Health Foundation’s ROOTED Campaign Cabinet, he leads with the belief that strong communities are built by those willing to invest in them.

Through the ROOTED campaign, University Health Foundation is working to expand access to lifesaving care across San Antonio and Bexar County by funding programs and critical resources for patients and families. For Robby, helping lead this effort is a personal commitment to the community he calls home.

“My personal motto for life has always been service unto others,” Robby said. “I think the reality is that this community deserves the best, and what’s drawn me to being involved with University Health and University Health Foundation is that they really afford people that opportunity.”

Robby and DOCUmation have been valuable supporters of the Foundation, serving for three years as presenting sponsor of the Medical Miracles Gala. As a well-known leader in our region, Robby’s dedication to service has earned him recognition on the San Antonio Business Journal’s 2025 “40 Under 40” list. But titles and accolades are not what mean most to him. What matters most is that his goals closely align with those of the Foundation, and that is to make a difference in our community.

Robby’s dedicated mindset makes him an ideal leader for our ROOTED campaign, a bold, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to change the trajectory of health care in our community not only for families today but for generations far into the future.

“We’re not just building one hospital. We’re not just building one clinic,” Robby said. “We’re purposefully focusing on the future of health care for San Antonio and greater Bexar County.”

As a father of four, Robby said he often drives his children through different parts of San Antonio, showing them the contrast in opportunity and access so they understand why equity in health care truly matters.

“I tell my kids the community you want to be a part of is the community you help build,” he said.

As campaign chair, Robby feels a deep commitment to those who choose to invest in this mission. His promise to donors is that their gift will extend care to every single person in this community. Whether through direct patient care or research, he truly believes the impact will be significant.

“This isn’t just about the next five years. It’s about many, many years to come,” Robby said.

As we continue to push forward in this campaign, we are truly grateful for our volunteer cabinet members and Robby’s leadership. They are some of the first people who understood how important this movement truly is, and their roles are key to the success of our mission.
