Vision: Celebrating the impact of donor generosity

Vision: Celebrating the impact of donor generosity

Sara M. Alger, president of University Health's Foundation team speaking at the Vision Luncheon

On Sept. 3, University Health Foundation hosted Vision: Celebrating the impact of your generosity, an exclusive luncheon for members of our giving societies. This special gathering honored our donors and highlighted the powerful difference their generosity makes in advancing health care for our community.

In 2024, University Health Foundation was able to disburse more than $12 million to University Health to fund some incredible projects, including the University Health Blood Donor Bus, the da Vinci and ion robots and numerous scholarships for University Health team members. During the event, guests heard from Ed Banos, president and CEO of University Health, who shared his vision for the future of University Health. In addition, members of the University Health team shared stories of impact that demonstrated how donor support is transforming lives every day.

Attendees also learned about ROOTED, University Health Foundation’s comprehensive campaign. ROOTED will help fund the development and growth of transformational projects that build on University Health’s clinical excellence and compassionate care, while addressing access to care and non-medical drivers of health through community and strategic partnerships.

The luncheon was a meaningful reminder of the critical role donors play in creating a healthier tomorrow. We are deeply grateful for the continued partnership and commitment of our giving society members.
