Diabetes Self-Management Education Class
Gain the knowledge, skills and abilities you need to care for your diabetes successfully in our diabetes self-management class. We’ll consider your needs, goals and life experiences while following the ADA’s proven care standards for diabetes. Classes are available in English and Spanish.
The goal of education is for you to learn:
- Informed decision-making about your health
- Self-care behaviors that maintain and improve your quality of life
- Problem-solving and collaboration with your health care team to manage your diabetes
Educators and Class Topics
Live well with diabetes by learning to incorporate diabetes self-management strategies taught in our diabetes classes. Session to Live well with diabetes is offered in three sessions with follow up at three and six months. You’ll receive tools, information and support to guide you through your journey to take control of your diabetes. Registered nurses and dietitians at University Health lead classes.
