I joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UT Health San Antonio and University Health in July of 2021 as Chief for the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Florida and my Medical Doctorate at Washington University School of Medicine. I completed obstetrics and gynecology residency training at the National Capital Consortium in Bethesda, MD, in 2005, followed by a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the National Institutes of Health in 2009.
I am dual board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
Career Highlights
I retired in July 2021 after 20 years of service in the U.S. Army, during which time I deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. While active duty, I worked as the Army OBGYN Consultant to the Office of the Surgeon General, providing leadership in Military Women’s Health.
I am currently both a specialty and an REI subspecialty-certifying examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In addition, I serve in multiple national organizations that set standards of practice and evidence-based medical care.
