I am an associate professor in the Department of Radiology at UT Health San Antonio’s Long School of Medicine. I am dual-board certified in diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine, and am fellowship-trained in breast imaging and intervention.

Education

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southwestern University with a Bachelor of Science degree before obtaining my Medical Degree from Baylor College of Medicine. My nuclear medicine and diagnostic radiology residencies were at Northwestern University and Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, respectively. I completed my breast imaging fellowship at UT Health in San Antonio.

Awards & Recognitions

I have been recognized for excellence in my profession and have been named among San Antonio’s top doctors for multiple years by Scene in San Antonio Magazine. Recently, I received the Bexar County Medical Society Extraordinary Women in Leadership Award 2022. The Long School of Medicine awarded me with the 2022 Women in Medicine Month honor, as one of the women who are changing the face of health, medicine and science.

I am married to retired CSM William Smith and have three children.
