The doc was very good, though it took just a bit to get both of us on the same page. She struggled a little bit to understand my analogies and wasn't really able to come up with more layman-type terminology at first. But we got there eventually.

We were told my special needs son needed new xrays before he could be seen. It had upset him to do the xrays and so they refused to see him. If we had known he needed xrays before hand we could have coordinated that better. In person appointments are very difficult with my son, so I was able to get the tech to get the dr to see my son. Dr. would not examine him just said needs xrays.
