About
In 2011, I completed medical school UT Southwestern Medical Center and went on to complete my internal medicine residency there. I moved to San Antonio in 2014 for my cardiology fellowship.
After my fellowship, I embarked on a two-year research program under a T32 grant, during which time I analyzed lower extremity amputation trends in Texas. I was also the recipient of the Kleberg Scholar Award, which provided funding for my current research project regarding subclinical atherosclerosis in Mexican-Americans in South Texas.
I joined the UT Health San Antonio faculty in September 2020 and am currently an Assistant Professor in the Division of Cardiology.
As an interventional cardiologist, I diagnose and manage patients with complex coronary disease, including performing catheterizations and complex coronary interventions.
Research Interests:
My current research and clinical interests include subclinical atherosclerosis in Mexican-Americans.
