About
"'If not me, then who? If not now, then when?' In medicine, every patient encounter is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference."
I am a gastroenterologist with a broad clinical focus that includes gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis), colorectal cancer screening and polyp surveillance, chronic abdominal pain and bloating, chronic diarrhea and constipation, gastrointestinal bleeding, iron deficiency anemia and occult gastrointestinal blood loss.
I also care for patients with liver disease, pancreatic disorders, gallbladder and biliary tract disease, celiac disease and other malabsorption disorders, as well as esophageal conditions, such as dysphagia and Barrett's esophagus.
I was drawn to medicine by the opportunity to combine science, problem-solving and meaningful human connection. Caring for patients during vulnerable moments and helping improve their quality of life continues to inspire my work every day.
Philosophy of Care
My philosophy of care is grounded in compassion, clear communication and evidence-based medicine. I strive to ensure patients feel informed, supported and confident in their care decisions, empowering them to take an active role in their health.
Favorite Parts of Medicine
Building long-term relationships with patients throughout their care journey
Performing procedures and supporting patients before, during and after treatment
Helping patients feel informed, reassured and cared for at every step
Hobbies
Outside of medicine, I enjoy gardening and tending to Phalaenopsis orchids. I find the patience and care they require deeply rewarding, especially when they bloom and thrive.
