What Can You Get Done in 200 Days?
That’s all that’s left to complete University Hospital’s new 1 million sq. ft. tower

If you’ve driven by University Hospital recently, you know we’ve been undergoing a growth spurt. The new 10-story tower will feature 420 private patient rooms (for a total of 720 throughout University Hospital); an expanded Emergency Center; two floors of surgical suites; three rooftop gardens, an amazing healing arts program and advanced technology throughout. It will also be highly energy efficient and environmentally friendly. In fact, we’ll be seeking to be the largest hospital in South Texas to earn Gold certification in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, or LEED.
WHAT: The countdown clock will hit the 200-days-to-go mark on Wednesday, Sept. 25. While a lot of work remains to be done, we’re offering media the opportunity to get a sneak peek with an exclusive hard-hat tour.
