Monday, November 6 - Evening Update
Late Monday, two more patients from the shooting in Sutherland Springs were discharged from University Hospital, leaving two adults and two children still hospitalized of the nine who were brought here on Sunday. Their conditions range from serious to critical. At this point, we have no family members or patients interested in speaking publicly.

Monday, November 6 - Morning Update
The victims of yesterday’s horrific shooting in in Sutherland Springs are on all of our minds today. We would like to update you on events taking place today at University Hospital.
Of the nine patients from yesterday’s shooting brought to University Hospital’s Level I trauma center yesterday, three children and three adults remain. Their conditions range from serious to critical. Two adults were treated and released. One pediatric patient died.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families and residents of Sutherland Springs.

MEDIA AVAILABILITY: We will be holding a blood drive until 7 p.m. in the lobby of University Hospital, 4502 Medical Drive. Dr. Leslie Greebon, University Health System's Medical Director of Transfusion Services, will be available for interviews at noon.
MEDIA AVAILABILITY: A previously scheduled news conference (below) will take place at 3 p.m. in the University Hospital lobby. While the purpose of this news conference is to honor a group of San Antonio EMS and Fire Department first responders for their actions in an unrelated shooting, Dr. Brian Eastridge, will be available to speak about the events and the general conditions of the victims. A regularly scheduled Stop the Bleed class will follow.
