Most liver cysts are benign and found with imaging tests. However, there are a few liver cysts that can be malignant.

In most cases, polycystic liver disease is associated with autosomal dominant polycystic liver disease (ADPKD). Management of polycystic liver disease depends on the extent of disease and associated symptoms.
