South Texas Trauma Informed Care Consortium
The South Texas Trauma-Informed Care Consortium is a group that was created by the City of San Antonio Metro Health, the Children’s Shelter and Voices for Children. Its members comprise a wide array of community organizations committed to addressing the impact of trauma.
Members participate in 6 cross-sector work groups that represent:
- Treatment Providers (including medical, behavioral and mental health)
- Early Childhood Education
- Faith-Based
- Schools (pre-k - 12th) and Youth Development
- Families and Peer Support
- Government Organizations (Government, Justice, Child Welfare)
The Consortium serves as an advisory body for the Trauma-Informed San Antonio initiative.
