"My goal is to treat each patient with respect and compassion, and work together to achieve our goals."
I’m an advanced therapeutic endoscopist with University Health, where I specialize in diagnosing and treating complex gastrointestinal conditions through minimally invasive procedures.
My journey into medicine was sparked by a fascination with the GI tract during high school. I was amazed that something as simple as eating could involve such complex anatomic, physiologic and microscopic processes. That early interest has since evolved into a fulfilling career helping patients through advanced therapeutic endoscopic care.
Philosophy of Care
I believe every patient deserves to be treated with respect and compassion. My goal is to create a collaborative relationship with patients, where we work together to address concerns, find solutions and reach their health goals.
I approach each patient’s treatment plan with precision, empathy and a commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.
Favorite Part of Medicine
  • Caring for a wide range of patients with diverse conditions
  • The dual ability to diagnose and treat using advanced endoscopy
Clinical Interests
My specialties include:
  • Endoscopic therapy for achalasia (POEM)
  • Zenker's diverticulum
  • Resection of complex polyps and early cancers in the GI tract
  • Endoscopic therapy of obesity (Endobariatrics)
  • Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
  • Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
  • Complex esophageal stricture remediation
Research and Publications
In addition to clinical work, I’ve contributed extensively to academic research in the field of gastroenterology and advanced endoscopy.
My work has been published in many peer-reviewed journals, reflecting my ongoing commitment to innovation and evidence-based care. Topics I’ve published include complex polyp resection, endoscopic therapy for achalasia and Zenker’s diverticulum, among others.
Hobbies
Outside of work, I enjoy grilling, gardening tomatoes and playing soccer.
